.....The Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative (SS/HS), is funded by grants from: the U. S. Department of Education; the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services; and the U. S. Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Programs. The SS/HS seeks to develop real-world knowledge about what works best to promote safe and healthy environments to help children learn and develop.

CHARACTER COUNTS
Character Counts promotes good character by teaching children trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship at school and throughout their communities.

Mental Health
Mental health services are provided on-site and through a referral process.

Parent Programs
Parent programs are designed to teach parents research and evidence-based activities and curriculum.

Primary Project
Primary Project is an evidence-based prevention program for grades K-3. It focuses on increasing the confidence and well-being of children at an early age, so they can become stronger students in the future.

Second Step
Second Step is a program for schools and families to use to encourage children to get along well with others.

Aggressors, Victims, & By-Standers
Aggressors, Victims, & By-Standers provides students with a framework for dealing with and changing the habits of thought that can result in violence.

All Stars
All Stars is designed to prevent risky behaviors and to promote hope for the future among young people.

Columbia University Teen Screen
Teen Screen is an assessment tool for the early identification of mental illness, for suicide prevention in youth, and for the need for further assessment.

Positive Action
Positive Action is a curriculum which teaches the positive actions and skills of physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development
